Did you know the Center for Orthopedics (CFO) has an Open Cast Room that offers you next-day treatment if you've been to the emergency room with a broken bone or injury? Now our web site's Fast Track lets you greatly shorten your wait time by booking an appointment online.

“Our Open Cast Room has one purpose: to treat you as soon as possible when you have a broken bone or injury,” says sports medicine specialist Daniel J. Zanotti, MD. “But because we see patients on a first-come, first-served basis, the wait times are often long.”

Go to the front of the line with Fast Track

With our web site's new Fast Track, you can potentially save hours of wait time by booking a next-day appointment online. “Although we will still see patients without an appointment, we will give you preference in our Open Cast Room if you schedule an appointment online,” Dr. Zanotti explains.

The online Fast Track offers Open Cast Room appointments Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You can also complete and submit your medical forms on our web site.

‘We waited only 10 minutes!’

“It was very easy,” says Shelly Spieth of Elyria, who recently booked a Fast Track appointment in the Open Cast Room when her son, Grant, injured his ankle in a soccer game. “I went home from the ER, got my son settled, and went right online,” she says. “It took only a few minutes to make the appointment and fill out the forms on the web site.

“We got to the Open Cast Room when it opened at 8:30 a.m. and there was a line out the door,” Spieth recalls. “There were over 30 patients checking in at the same time we were. I was so glad I made an appointment online! I checked us in

and a few minutes later, they called us.
We were in and out and back home by 9:15. Otherwise, we would have been there for hours.

“It couldn't have worked out better,” says Spieth. “With three kids, I appreciate anything that makes my life easier.”
